Another Disney gem is getting the blue-cover treatment.

You ain’t never had a friend like this!

Aladdin is coming out of the Disney vault, and slipping into packaging of the digital – and Bluray kind.
The Diamond Edition of the movie is now available to pre-order for an October 13th Bluray release, while the digital download comes out on September 29th.

This movie is one of my favourites. Oddly enough, I’d been looking for a copy of this movie over the last two years. I’d heard from a worker at my neighbourhood HMV that this was getting a re-release, but he wasn’t sure when exactly it was coming out.

Aladdin is one of Disney’s best classics. When I first moved out to BC with my mom, we were staying in other accommodations before our apartment was ready. It was a tough wait, but someone loaned this movie to us, and it made the wait much easier. It wasn’t the first Disney movie I watched in the theatres (that was The Lion King) but it was one of the first.

It’s also one of the more notable movies Robin Williams has done. I’ll never forget all the awesome antics in this movie…
