WATCH: Trailers that have people talking

This week it’s all about Concussion, The Fifth Wave and MacbethIn trailers this week, I have to say I’m pretty impressed with some of the ones I’ve found making waves on social media.

The first one – well, I’m expecting an Academy Award-worthy performance from Mr. Will Smith. Concussion is the story of a doctor who, after finding major brain injuries in a professional football player, tries to wave a warning flag. The NFL attempts to shut him up, and dramatic chaos ensues.

I was moved by this trailer. I am not a fan of sports dramas/movies (the closest I’ve ever come to being a fan of a sports drama was Rudy), but this had me hook, line, and sinker. I am looking forward to this movie coming out. We’ll have to wait a few months (it’s slated for a December 25th release) but in the meantime prepare to have your heartstrings ripped out below.

This next one – well, I’m not so sure how I feel about it quite yet. The trailer just dropped for it today, and I think it’ll be interesting. Perhaps polarizing. The 5th Wave hits theatres next year, and stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Liev Schreiber and Ron Livingston. It’s also based on a book of the same same name.

The last one on my list for this week has me ecstatic. Oddly enough, I knew nothing about this trailer until a buddy of mine shared it with me. It won’t have a release in the United States and Canada until December 4th, but I am banking on it having all kinds of elements to keep you entertained. Macbeth stars Marion Cotillard and Michael Fassbender. It. Looks. Good.
