What a great year. Bring on 2018!

I wanted to take this time to thank everyone who played a role in making my year pretty fantastic. And let this be a lesson to everyone: there is such a thing as things looking up. Trust me.

I still remember exactly where I was one year prior — and it wasn’t a good place in any way, shape or form (I will spare you that story; if you creep back far enough on my social media, you’ll be able to figure out what I mean). Last year was actually the first year in a while I set New Years’ resolutions, and I managed to keep every single one right to the end. (I have another post coming up on that later, so stay tuned for it!)

As we head into the last hours of 2017, take the time to actually reflect on the year you had. For some, I know this is painful. For others, it might feel like a victory lap. I was never a believer in New Years’ being the time for fresh starts until last year, because it felt quite disingenuous. At the very least though, I suggest treating it like a stepping stone. And besides, if you screw up, there’s always tomorrow.
