This has me hopeful. PLEASE BE GOOD.
Outside of the controversy, it’s not a terrible film, but it’s as cheesy as you’d imagined.
It didn’t quite derail – but it wasn’t anything to celebrate, either.
It’s not quite everything one of the world’s best storytellers wrote about, but it’s enough to charm everyone old, young – and in between.
It’s pretty to look at, and the story has some moments of empowerment…but that’s about as far as we get.
The movie commits a few science sins, but it doesn’t detract from the effort.
