News and Video Projects

I have experience editing short and long projects, though more of my experience is in editing for news and YouTube. I have intermediate knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.

I’m also a trained reporter, news anchor, and host: whether it’s a New Year’s special, a news package, or an event, I’m capable of working with a script, or thinking on my feet.

News pieces

I worked as a video journalist for CityNews from 2021 to 2022. I edited an overwhelming majority of my pieces, often within the span of five or six hours—and all while putting out calls for interviews requests, writing news scripts, and even filing for radio.

News editing requires an ability to be flexible and adaptable, and this is a skill I was able to improve upon during my year in front of and behind the camera for Rogers Sports & Media.

Long time friend and mentor Terry Schintz and I walked through the highlights of the year, which included responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, American politics, and local feel-good stories out of Vancouver.
